Özet Tito Vignoli'nin bu eseri; hayvan algısı, ilkel mit oluşturma süreci ve modern bilimsel düşünce arasındaki evrimsel sürekliliği araştıran iddialı bir psikolojik ve antropolojik çalışmadır. Vignoli, mitin sadece bir efsaneler bütünü değil, insan zekasının kendiliğinden ortaya çıkan ve zorunlu olan bir formu olduğunu ileri sürer. Abstract "Myth and Science" by Tito Vignoli is an ambitious psychological and anthropological study that explores the evolutionary continuity between animal perception, primitive myth-making, and modern scientific thought. Vignoli posits that myth is not merely a collection of fables but a spontaneous and necessary form of human intelligence. He argues that both animals and early humans share a fundamental tendency to personify natural phenomena as a result of "reflex power" and sensory perception. The book traces the gradual transformation of these personified myths into abstract concepts, eventually leading to the development of science. By analyzing the transition from polytheism to monotheism and finally to scientific positivism, Vignoli provides a comprehensive theory on the historical and biological roots of human understanding and the persistence of mythic structures in the modern mind.
